Sizzle Sizzle Popcorn!!!!!

Popcorn is truly one of those things that I realized was very American.
I can remember being SHOCKED when I lived in Paris and at the Cinema/ Movie theater the popcorn came with sugar or salt...but NO butter!!!!  Then in our time in England, when offered popcorn with butter the looks of horror still make me laugh out loud! I have learned so much!

Of course if you adore popcorn the way my family does, you will eat it caramelized, with butter, with salt and even attempt to eat kettle corn, although the pre-packaged stuff is horrible! Even my friends over seas would sometimes enjoy the next creation if they gave it a chance!!!
I have been dressing up popcorn for so long I am not sure when I started.. now my 2nd son also has his own twist on popcorn seasoning! Although I do make it in a pot, I have to say the microwave stuff is cost friendly and kids can do it easily for a snack, like mac and cheese and ramen noodles, one of the few times I let them eat pre-packaged stuff... Pick and choose your battles is what I say!

Serves 3 or 4

Ingredients

1 bag or 2 cups of loose popcorn
2 Tbs of butter
1 Tbs olive oil ( if popping on the stove)
2 Tsp of Sea Salt
1 Cup shredded cheese ( We use Parmesan or Sharp Cheddar )

I love popcorn! Such a perfect snack!

Serving sizes and this sight.....

As many of you have come to realize, I am usually making huge amounts of food and alot of times for more than just my family. However, I would be horrified to think that someone who was living alone, or with only a couple people in their home would feel discouraged about this..
Simply use division for most of these recipes if they are too big. With the exception of baking, which requires a fair amount of science, these recipes can be adjusted and modified with ease! And if you feel stuck, either leave me a comment or email me and I will try to respond to you as soon as I can.
Thanks fellow foodies, hope you eat something yummy today and enjoy the fact that you didn't spend lots of money at a high end restaurant!

Enjoy! I love to hear from you all!
